During the Spring / Summer of the 2009 season Ian & Barbara were filmed for a lovely fun feature on BBC's new prime time Sunday evening show for Countryfile. Matt Baker (of ex Blue Peter fame) visited the gardens one morning for what was meant to be just a few hours. He ended up spending most of the day exploring, filming and interviewing both Ian & Barbara in depth for a what turned into a 5 minute feature. You can click below to view :


I think the gardens made quite an imact on Matt (as they do to most of our garden visitors) , the feature was repeated on the 'Best of Countryfile' show in the Autumn and then also got a special mention from Matt on the Countryside 2009 Christmas & New Year special as 'one of the the highlights of his Countryfile year'
