X rated (?!?) Hungry Snowy Buzzard at the Abbey House Gardens
During the cold snowy January in 2010 Ian spotted this hungry buzzard feeding on a small rodent in a secluded spot adjacent to the Abbey House. Food was scarce due to the prolonged and unexpected snow so nothing was leftover.
Lots of birds and wildlife frequent the Abbey House Gardens, particularly the more secluded river gardens. The birdsong on our home page was recorded from the river gardens.
