Artwork & Inspiration
In October 2009 we featured the work
of two artists in the Belverdere at the Abbey House Gardens. Lots of the
artwork featured in the show was inspired by the flowers, plants, smells and
colours of the gardens.
The title of the show was 'Nature's Rich Weave: An
exhibition of work by Liz Watts and Melissa Wishart.' The exhibition knitted
together paining, sculpture, textiles and words.
Between them Liz and Melissa used a wide range of materials and ideas to explore the rhythms, tensions and wonder that exist between man, woman and nature.
