April & May 2010 - Tulip Time
The late spring caused by the harsh winter has helped create a spectacular hit of colour in the gardens this year. We expect the dominant display of Tulip colour to continue well into May. With 150,000 Tulips in the ground you can expect to see one of the most spectacular displays in the UK, possibly one of our best yet.
More colour is arriving every day as the Wisterias begin to flower and the Japanese Maples golden red leaves begin to develop.

One group organiser visiting to see the tulip display this season had this to say,
'Thank you so much for our wonderful visit yesterday.Your garden is a dream, a paradise, somewhere I could stay for ever. Thank you so much Barbara for your lively talk to my group, all of whom thoroughly enjoyed it.
Personally and in 10 years of organising group visits, I have visited many, many gardens however I can honestly this was by far the most beautiful and breathtaking taking experience I have ever had. The 'wow' factor was every few yards.
My group have already asked to come back, and I too will be making a personal return visit. Your creation over 16 years is quite unbelieveable, you should be an inspiration to everyone and everything horticultural. '
