Celebrating ten years in the garden

We wanted to enhance this special place; bring people to it as they had come once before when it was part of a Benedictine Monastery, hoping that they would feel better on leaving than when they had arrived.

We wanted to create a place that offered a rest from the pressure of C21st living, that would be a special experience to visit and add value to Malmesbury, to Wiltshire and to tourism in general while preserving an historic place.

We also planned to do our best to educate ourselves and those who visit us, in environmentally sustainable practices. We are keen to support the local community, the local economy and the local wildlife to the best of our ability.

Your visit to Abbey House Gardens will contribute to this effort but mostly we hope it gives you a chance to get away from it all, enjoy rest, relaxation and contact with nature in a beautiful, historic, romantic and colourful setting.
